A New S-Rank Gate Threatens Tokyo
The episode opens with panic in Tokyo as a giant S-rank gate covers the entire city. It's the largest gate ever recorded, and the Japanese Hunters Association scrambles to figure out how to tackle it. After some debate, they realize national-level hunters like Thomas Andre may be needed—but they’re unavailable or too expensive.
Instead, they turn to a powerful hunter named Yuri Orloff, whose magic barrier abilities are legendary.
Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In's Tense Encounter
While parking his car, Jinwoo unexpectedly runs into Cha Hae-In, who appears to be avoiding him. She reveals a message from the deceased Hunter Min Byung-Gu: “Tell Jinwoo to be cautious with his powers.”
Jinwoo is shocked and concerned, knowing there's more about his power he has yet to uncover.
Shadow Observation: A New Skill
Back at his dungeon run, Jinwoo reflects on a skill he’s yet to use—Shadow Observation, which allows him to see through his shadow soldiers’ eyes.
He uses it to check on his sister, mother, and even Cha Hae-In, accidentally glimpsing her bathing—leading to his first-ever blush in the series!
S-Rank Gate in Japan: Negotiations with Yuri Orloff
Meanwhile in Japan, negotiations with Yuri Orloff escalate. He demands $10 million per day to keep the gate sealed with his barrier. Though shocked, the guild realizes his powers are real when he traps two S-rank hunters with a magical field they can’t escape.
The Return to the Double Dungeon
Jinwoo heads to the double dungeon where it all began. Outside, another small gate appears at his sister’s school, worrying Jinwoo. Despite others dismissing it as a C-rank gate, he senses something wrong and enters alone.
Inside, he warns the raid team it’s a trap, saving them from a deadly statue attack. He then proceeds deeper into the dungeon, which remains unchanged since his first terrifying encounter.
There, Jinwoo stands face to face with the mysterious stone god again and prepares for the confrontation of a lifetime.
Yuri's Barrier Activation
The episode ends with Yuri Orloff setting up a colossal barrier around the S-rank gate in Tokyo. Using massive quantities of mana crystals, he absorbs their energy to build the strongest shield yet, all while being broadcast live across Japan.
